PASTEL PORTRAITS WITH LIVE MODELS

THE ARTIST – ANNE LÉTOURNEAU

Anne Létourneau finds her inspiration in the landscapes of the Laurentians, which she paints en plein air, far from the comfort of a studio. Her work, largely realist, stands out for its bold, almost expressionist use of colour — in both landscapes and portraits — always drawn to the interplay of light and shadow.

Recognized early for her natural talent, she went on to master the demanding art of pastel portraiture, work that has since been awarded and published, through training that blended self-teaching with mentorship — a foundation that now shapes how she teaches. Active in the Laurentian arts community (board leadership, gallery cooperatives, organizing plein air gatherings), she brings that rootedness and generosity to the classes at Au Pif.
