‘Au Pif’ Art Center OPENING IN MONT-TREMBLANT

Mont-Tremblant, le 29 mai 2026

Something new is taking shape in the heart of Mont-Tremblant, and it’s worth paying attention to.

Behind the project are two sisters: Ève and Élise Léonard. Entrepreneurs by background, deeply rooted in the local arts scene, they’ve both long noticed the same gap: for a region with as much creative talent as this one, there’s no real gathering place for artists and makers.

Artists are everywhere around us. What was missing was somewhere to create together, to learn, to exchange — or simply to live with art as part of daily life.

That observation became an idea, then a concept, then a real vision.

The project took nearly two years to develop. Business plan, concept, identity, mission; all of it was ready. The one missing piece was the right space. The kind of place that could actually make the idea real.

Then things fell into place: the right location, the right timing.

That’s how Les Ateliers Au Pif came to be : a new creative space now open in the Petit Hameau, in downtown Mont-Tremblant.

More than a workshop space, it’s designed to function as a full creative hub. The concept runs on three pillars:

  • creative workshops
  • artistic events
  • boutique featuring work from local artists

The programming is meant to be varied and alive: discovery workshops, skill-building sessions, artist events, creative evenings, and cultural happenings every Saturday through the summer season.

The goal is to build something that creates a real impact on the local arts scene — a living space where artists can practice, develop their craft, share what they know, and work alongside each other. A place that takes seriously both professional practice and the pleasure of simply creating.

Teenagers, retirees, corporate groups, tourists, artists or art aficionado – everyone can find a place here.

As for the name: Au Pif is the French expression for playing it by ear, following the moment, trusting your gut: an invitation to let go, and simply start creating. That’s what the Léonard sisters are building: a human, accessible, energetic space where creativity drives community.

The countdown is on.

Mark your calendar: official opening Saturday, June 13 : live artistic performance, gifts, and launch day promotions.
